DOI Policy
The Bulletin of the Iraq Natural History Museum assigns Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to all published articles to ensure persistent, unique, and citable links for scholarly content.
1. Purpose of DOI
- Provide a permanent and reliable link to each published article.
- Facilitate accurate citation, tracking, and indexing of journal content.
- Support open access and discoverability in databases and search engines.
2. Assignment of DOI
- DOIs are assigned to all articles upon publication, both online and in print.
- The DOI is registered with CrossRef or another recognized DOI registration agency.
3. Citation
- Authors must cite articles using the DOI in references whenever possible.
- The DOI ensures that links remain functional even if the article URL changes.
4. Correction and Retraction
- In case of corrections, retractions, or updates, the DOI remains unchanged to maintain the integrity of citations.
- Updated versions are linked to the original DOI.
5. Benefits
- Increases visibility, accessibility, and credibility of published research.
